Bohemian x Santa Lucia
These Texan clients selected the beautiful Carmel Valley’s Santa Lucia Preserve for their wedding weekend of festivities. The Bride’s love of pattern, color and her bohemian sensibility became the inspiration for the entire wedding day design. Jesse infused the Bride’s infatuation for embroidery and joyful color into every detail, from the custom invitation suite to the floral chandeliers that crowned the sailcloth dining tent. Jesse loved working with this client to bring their unique vision to life in one of the world’s most beautiful destinations.

Grounded in nature...
Jesse partnered with world-renowned floral designer Ariella Chezar, known for her lush, garden-inspired botanical designs. Jesse and Ariella wanted the ceremony floral to look as if it was growing out of the forest floor. The distinct mixture of vintage church pews and salon chairs added to the eclectic look and feel of the wedding ceremony beneath 500+ year old redwood trees, which formed a natural cathedral setting.
Color play...
Jesse wanted the escort card display to act almost like an art installation, that guests could interact with and that would also act as a photo opportunity during cocktail hour. The Green Vase paper floral arch, and colorful silk fabric danced in the wind all afternoon long.
Cocktail bar customization...
Jesse collaborated with longtime friend Jeni Maus of Found Rentals to design and build these custom bars. Jesse saw bars similar to these in the lobby of his favorite New York City hotel and asked Jeni and her team to recreate the look for this wedding. Found Rentals outdid themselves, and the final result fit perfectly with the other eclectic furnishings.
Tenacious tabletop...
Jesse partnered with Casa de Perrin and Oscar de la Renta to create these plates, that were special ordered for this event. The Bride also ordered these for her wedding registry; a way to relive her wedding day everyday at home.
Afterparty goals...
Jesse transformed the Barn space at the Santa Lucia Preserve working with Urban Parlor. This event was planned, designed and produced by Jesse Tombs for Alison Events.
